The Grey (2011)

Directed By: Joe Carnahan

Written By: Joe Carnahan & Ian Mackenzie Jeffers (screenplay)

Starring: Liam Neeson, Dermot Mulroney and Frank Grillo

Synopsis:

If you’re being followed by a pack of man-eating wolves, you better hope Liam Neeson is with you.

Musings:

What happens when you pit Liam Neeson versus a pack of wolves? He’s part wolf whisperer and has been possessed by MacGyver.

I don’t remember who recommended this movie but I curse them for it. Is this what passes for film these days?  Put simply, this movie was dumb and predictable. The only thing that confused me was whether the wolves were supernatural or not? Am I the only one who wondered that? Maybe if they played up that angle, it would have been a better film. Maybe, but probably not.

This film falls into the same category as Snakes on a Plane – the stupid category.  This movie blows.

Problem: Horrible pop cultural references

Mood for watching: Angsty

What to eat and drink: Wolf and snow

If I made it: Liam Neeson would turn into a wolf

Why watch: Because you want to kill brain cells
